Safeguarding your pupils with ISA First staff checks

We know that schools are concerned about safer recruitment and checking whether their staff meet all the requirements and safeguards to ensure the welfare of children

Only those schools that have a UK recruitment office, or a UK education authority making their recruitment decisions can have Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks carried out on their staff. This means that many British schools worldwide are unable to have CRB checks carried out on their staff and their backgrounds. This leaves schools open to not being able to fully carry out their responsibility to safeguard their pupils. List 99 checks are no longer available to schools after 12th October 2009 with the newly introduced vetting and barring legislation..

We can provide your school with the replacement checks titled ISA First. These are checks of the Independent Safeguarding Authority list of those barred from working with children. We can check staff and the school will receive certificated clearance for each member of staff to work in your school. This gives great reassurance to parents that their children are in safe hands.
